Terms of Service
Last updated 25 October 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Kim Roland Berame, an individual developer in the Philippines who makes and runs Pars (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Pars app, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Pars.
What Pars is
Pars helps friend groups record shared trip expenses, split them, and keep track of who owes whom. Pars never moves money. It doesn’t process payments, hold funds, or send money for you. When you “settle up”, you pay your friend yourself, through GCash, Maya, a bank, cash or however you like, and Pars only records that it happened.
Balances in Pars are only as accurate as what you and your friends enter. They are a helpful record, not a bill, invoice or legal claim.
Your account
- You must be at least 13 to use Pars.
- You sign in with Apple, Google or an email code. Keep access to that account secure. You’re responsible for what happens under your account.
- Give a name your friends will recognize, and don’t pretend to be someone else.
Using Pars fairly
You agree not to:
- enter information you know is false to make someone owe money they don’t;
- harass, threaten or spam people, including through nudges;
- upload content that’s illegal, or that you don’t have the right to share;
- add people’s personal information they wouldn’t expect you to share with the trip;
- try to break, overload, reverse engineer or get around the security of the app or its servers;
- use Pars for any illegal purpose.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.
Your content
Expenses, photos, payout details and anything else you add stay yours. You give us permission to store them, process them and show them to the people in your trips (and, for payout details, to people who owe you, as described in the Privacy Policy), only so Pars can work. This permission ends when the content is deleted, except for the shared trip records described under “Deleting your account”.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete account. If you still owe money in a trip you share with others, settle up first. Your name stays on the expenses and settlements in trips you shared, so your friends’ records still add up. See Delete your account.
The service
Pars is free right now. We may add, change or remove features, and we may stop offering Pars. If we shut it down, we’ll try to give you notice.
Pars is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties, express or implied, including that it will be error-free, always available, or that its calculations suit your needs. Check important amounts yourself.
To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, for disagreements between you and your friends, for payments you make or don’t make outside Pars, or for losses caused by inaccurate entries. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Philippine consumer protection law that can’t be limited.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We’ll change the date at the top, and tell you in the app before a significant change takes effect. If you keep using Pars after that, you accept the new terms.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines.
